About Time

The 4th release on absolute ambient is about time.

ISHQ & PAN ELECTRIC explore the great intangible element of the universe through minimal electronica and lush ambient tracks.

“Time is a more precious commodity than any gem or stone and yet you can’t hold it or trade it. Like air, you cannot see it.  Like water, it constantly flows, shaped only by 인도식밀크티 the emotional topography we project onto it. Like fate it cannot be escaped, it contains no molecules and yet it binds us all.”

Music* For A Busy Head

Created by producer and artist Matt Coldrick, Music For a Busy Head is a deep ambient album designed to take the listener on a journey inwards. A work of grace and depth, this debut release on absolute ambient has been designed to aid relaxation and provide a perfect antidote for today’s stressful living. Techniques of changing the resonance and timbre of sound as well as the note and rhythm have been used for thousands of years for healing. Many of these principles and techniques are used on this album.

Music For A Busy Head comprises seven works, each piece is written in a key that resonates with one of the main chakras or energy centers of the body. So, by listening to the album from start to finish the listener is given a subtle sonic massage. All the tempos on Music For a Busy Head are below 65 beats per minute, the average heart rate at rest. This will help draw the listener towards semi-consciousness where much of the body’s best self-healing work takes place.

Conscious Pilot

Conscious Pilot The third album from the absolute ambient catalog is an epic fusion of electronica and ambient chill from the Brighton-based collective Pan Electric. After two pure ambient releases producer/writer Matt Coldrick has ventured more into melody and groove without losing the tapestries and colors that define the absolute ambient sound.

Conscious Pilot features the exceptional Rhodes piano talents of Neil Cowley (Zero 7, Brand New Heavies,) giving an inspired improvisational narrative to the arrangements. Lush Beach Boys-esque vocals from Brighton’s Dan Burke and performances from Julie Kench (Swingle Singers) create ethereal, ghostly, almost nostalgic passages, as though the radio in the background was tuned to 1967. The magic dust comes from Pedal steel master, BJ Cole whose session history with major artists is astonishing. His contribution adds a golden texture that helps define the unique style of the album.

Conscious Pilot has been gestating for three years; It has taken on its shape and form in that time and its release marks a progressive moment in the evolution of the label…
